2014, December — Fusebox was founded. Tarvo founds Fusebox to help businesses monetise their energy flexibility, starting with manual demand response services for asset owners.
2019, June — Automated platform launched. Fusebox launches its first automated demand response solution and manual frequency restoration reserve (mFRR) service.
2020, January — Market leader in the Baltics. Fusebox becomes the largest demand response provider in the Baltics.
2021, August — Expanding asset integration. Fusebox tests and integrates over 50 different demand response asset types.
2022, December — TSO integration and new services. Fusebox integrates with transmission system operators (TSOs) in Estonia, Finland, Sweden, and Lithuania, launching frequency containment reserve (FCR) and fast frequency reserve (FFR) services.
2023, March — VPP-as-a-Service launched. Fusebox introduces its new VPP-as-a-Service business model.
2023, June — EMS-as-a-Service launched. Fusebox launches an advanced energy management system (EMS)-as-a-Service for hybrid sites with local production, storage, and consumption.
2023, December — Major utility partnerships. Fusebox acquires 10 major power utility customers across Europe.
2024, November — Expansion across markets. Fusebox expands its footprint, offering advanced EMS and VPP solutions to help energy companies access ancillary markets.
2024, December — 2,572 tons of CO2 saved with mFRR. Fusebox saves 2,572 tons of CO2 through its mFRR product by the end of 2024, driving real impact toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
2024, December — Fusebox turns 10. Fusebox celebrates 10 years of driving energy flexibility and innovation.
2025, March — Capacity market bidding. Fusebox integrates the capacity (MW) service and its associated revenue stream into its VPP SaaS platform.
2025, September — Enhanced cross-market bidding and regulation. Fusebox develops cross-market capabilities for greater technical flexibility in optimisation.
2026 — Continued European growth. Fusebox continues tracking and responding to Europe’s fast-evolving flexibility markets, publishing regular market analysis and expanding its presence across European markets and TSOs.
