Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy covers fusebox.energy and the Fusie knowledge bot, which run as one application. It explains what we store in your browser, why, and what you can refuse. How we handle personal data more generally is in our privacy notice.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small amount of data a website stores on your device. Persistent cookies survive between visits; session cookies last only as long as the visit. Some sites also use similar technologies — local storage, tracking pixels, web beacons — and where we do, they are listed here alongside the cookies.
Essential cookies make the site work: navigation, security, and keeping you signed in. Analytics cookies let us count visits and see which parts get used. Marketing cookies serve advertising — we do not use any, and we do not sell or share what we collect with advertisers.
What we set
Essential, set without asking, because the site cannot work without them:
fusie_anon_id— a random identifier (HttpOnly, about two years) set the first time you chat anonymously, so you see your own chat history when you come back. It holds no personal data.fusie-cookie-consent-v1— local storage, recording whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we stop asking.fusie-theme— local storage, remembering whether you chose the light or dark theme.- Sign-in cookies, if you sign in (Fusebox staff, via Microsoft Entra), to keep your session.
Analytics, set only if you accept on the consent banner, and removed if you decline:
- PostHog (EU region) — page views, button clicks and chat events, with text you type masked at capture. It stores a pseudonymous identifier in your browser to group these into a session. On the
/demopages only, it also records a session replay and click heatmaps, with text and form inputs masked.
Declining changes nothing about what the site shows you. There are no advertising, remarketing or social-network cookies, and no Google, Facebook or Intercom tracking.
Legal basis
Essential cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a working website (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). Analytics cookies are set only with your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time. Providing this data is neither contractually required nor necessary to use the site.
Refusing or removing cookies
Choose Declineon the consent banner to refuse analytics. To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser; the banner will ask again on your next visit.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential ones means parts of the site, including the chat history, will not work properly.
Third parties
Analytics are processed by PostHog in the EU region. Our pages may link to third-party websites, which have their own cookie practices; this policy does not cover them.
