A note from our CEO
Fusebox is about dreaming boldly and daring to act. Our tight-knit team has always been set on succeeding—without hesitation. This mindset is built on individual behaviors, shared accountability, and the actions we take every day. As we grow, it’s vital that we maintain this attitude and intentionally shape our company culture.
This Code of Conduct defines the standards that guide how we work together, make decisions, and interact with our customers, partners, and stakeholders. My hope is that this document evolves with us—becoming both a practical resource and a reminder of the values we stand for.
Please take the time to read this with both thought and heart. If you ever face an ethical dilemma, come back to this Code as a guide. And if something feels misaligned with our values, we encourage you to speak up.
Together, we build a culture of integrity, trust, and innovation.
— CEO, Tarvo Õng
Who we are & what we stand for
Our mission
We help energy companies accelerate the shift to clean, intelligent energy by building the infrastructure that unlocks the full value of energy assets and drives sustainable growth.
Our vision
“A world powered by clean, intelligent energy — for generations to come.”
We envision a future where intelligent energy systems and connected assets accelerate the energy transition — leaving behind a sustainable legacy for the generations to come.
Our Core Values in action
Every day we work as GRID — Powering the Future, Together – where:
G – Growth Through Curiosity.
We stay curious and open — always learning, adapting, and evolving to solve real challenges and shape what’s next.
R – Responsible Innovation.
We build boldly with purpose — designing scalable, sustainable solutions that drive positive change in the field of energy.
I – Integrity & Care.
We lead with empathy and do what’s right — supporting our teammates, our customers, and our planet.
D – Driven by Data.
We show up with intention, collaborate with clarity, and execute with excellence — always driven by data.
Living these is about making them part of our everyday decisions. When in doubt, ask yourself:
✔ Am I challenging the status quo to improve what we do?
✔ Am I seeking opportunities to learn, stretch, and grow?
✔ Am I showing up prepared and focused on meaningful impact?
✔ Am I making a decision based on both data and human judgment?
✔ Am I truly understanding and exceeding customer expectations?
✔ Am I supporting my teammates as people and partners in success?
By committing to these principles, we ensure Fusebox remains a company that earns trust, drives innovation, and makes a real impactin the energy industry.
Living our values: why ethics & culture matter
At Fusebox, we’re not just building software—we’re shaping the future of energy. That responsibility goes beyond writing great code or closing deals; it’s about making decisions that define who we are as a company. Every action we take contributes to our reputation, not only as an employer but also as a service provider, a business partner, and a player in the global energy market.
Ethics plays a central role in this. At its core, ethics is about doing the right thing—even when no one is watching. It’s easy to think of ethics as something abstract, a concept reserved for legal or compliance teams. But in reality, ethics is about the small decisions we make every day. It’s choosing to be transparent with a customer about a technical limitation rather than overpromising. It’s ensuring that our cybersecurity practices aren’t just “good enough,” but truly protect the trust that our customers place in us. It’s standing by our values even when a shortcut could bring quick wins.
As a fast-growing startup from a small EU country, we have a lot to prove. Large energy companies and regulators might hesitate to trust a younger, smaller company unless we demonstrate integrity in everything we do. This means that our commitment to ethics isn’t just a moral choice—it’s a strategic one. Companies in the energy sector, particularly those dealing with market operations, data security, and critical infrastructure, are under intense scrutiny. To earn our place as a trusted player, we must hold ourselves to the highest standards.
Our reputation is one of our most valuable assets. It affects how customers see us, how investors evaluate us, and how talented people decide whether they want to work with us. A strong company culture—one that values trust, transparency, and responsibility—is what allows us to attract the best minds and form lasting partnerships. Without it, even the most innovative technology won’t be enough to succeed in the long run.
This is why culture matters. It’s not about perks or slogans; it’s about how we operate, how we make decisions, and how we treat each other. In a workplace where trust and respect are foundational, people can do their best work. In a company where ethical decision-making is the norm, customers and partners can confidently rely on us. And in an industry as critical as energy, where even small missteps can have widespread consequences, our commitment to integrity ensures that we are not just another SaaS provider, but a responsible and respected force in the market.
Of course, ethical dilemmas are not always black and white. There will be times when the right course of action isn’t obvious. In those moments, we encourage everyone to ask: Is this decision aligned with our values? Would I be comfortable explaining this to a customer, an investor, or a regulator? Could this have unintended consequences for others? If there’s any doubt, the best course of action is to seek guidance. Ethics isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about having the awareness to ask the right questions.
As Fusebox continues to grow, our commitment to ethics and culture will remain at the heart of everything we do. This is what will set us apart. This is how we build trust. This is how we succeed—not just as a business, but as a company that genuinely makes a difference.
Our responsibilities as employees
At Fusebox, we all share the responsibility of upholding our values in the way we work. It’s not just about following rules—it’s about the choices we make every day, the mindset we bring to our work, and the trust we build with colleagues, customers, and partners. A strong culture doesn’t happen by accident; it’s the result of how each of us approaches our role, our interactions, and our decisions.
Integrity in our work
Integrity is not just a principle—it’s the foundation of everything we do. It means acting with honesty, transparency, and accountability, even when it’s inconvenient or when no one is watching. It’s easy to take shortcuts or bend the truth to make things look better, but real trust is built by consistently doing the right thing.
Integrity shows up in many ways. It’s being open about a project’s challenges instead of covering up mistakes. It’s admitting when we don’t have an answer instead of making something up. It’s following through on our commitments, even when deadlines get tough. And most importantly, it’s recognizing that small ethical compromises—like manipulating data to fit a narrative or hiding a security risk—can lead to much bigger consequences down the road. At Fusebox, we win by being smart, not by being deceptive.
Diversity, inclusion & respect
A great workplace is built on mutual respect. At Fusebox, we value diverse perspectives because they help us innovate, grow, and make better decisions. Respect isn’t just about being polite—it’s about listening to others, recognizing different viewpoints, and ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to contribute and succeed.
Discrimination, harassment, or exclusion—whether based on gender, ethnicity, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic—have no place at Fusebox. We will not tolerate behavior that makes others feel unsafe or undervalued.
Because this is such an important topic, we have a dedicated Diversity & Inclusion Policy that every employee must read, understand, and comply with. This policy provides more detail on our commitments and expectations, and it is available on our intranet.
Cybersecurity & data protection
As a SaaS company in the energy sector, cybersecurity is not just an IT concern—it’s an ethical responsibility. Our customers trust us with critical energy data, and any failure to protect it could have real-world consequences. Every employee plays a role in keeping our systems secure, whether by using strong passwords, being alert to phishing attempts, or handling customer data with care.
Security breaches don’t just happen because of hackers—they often happen due to human error. Clicking on the wrong link, sharing sensitive information too casually, or ignoring security updates can put our entire company at risk.We expect every employee to take security seriously and follow best practices at all times.
To ensure clarity and consistency, we have a Cybersecurity & Data Protection Policy that outlines specific responsibilities and security measures. Every employee must review and comply with this policy, which can be found on our intranet.
Avoiding conflicts of interest
As a growing company, we rely on trust—both internally and externally. A conflict of interest happens when personal interests interfere with professional responsibilities. This could mean using company resources for personal gain, working for a competitor on the side, or making business decisions that benefit a friend or family member instead of Fusebox.
Conflicts of interest aren’t always obvious, which is why transparency is key. If you’re unsure whether something might be a conflict, ask before acting. Disclosing potential conflicts early allows us to handle them fairly and avoid misunderstandings.
Sum up
Our actions, decisions, and behavior shape Fusebox’s culture. Upholding our values is not just about following policies—it’s about building a company that earns trust, delivers value, and makes a meaningful impact.
By acting with integrity, treating others with respect, prioritizing security, and maintaining transparency, we ensure that Fusebox remains a place where people are proud to work and where customers, partners, and investors feel confident in our business.
Our responsibilities to customers & partners
Trust is the foundation of every relationship we build—whether with customers, partners, regulators, or investors. At Fusebox, we are not just selling software; we are providing solutions that help companies manage critical energy assets, optimize market participation, and improve sustainability. In this field, reliability, security, and transparency are non-negotiable. A single breach of trust could undermine years of work, which is why we hold ourselves to the highest standards when interacting with those who rely on us.
Trust & transparency in customer relationships
Our customers choose Fusebox because they believe in our technology, our expertise, and our commitment to delivering real value. That trust is earned not just through our product’s performance, but through how we communicate and engage with them.
Being honest and transparent is essential. If there is a challenge or limitation with our technology, we acknowledge it rather than overpromising. If a customer encounters an issue, we take ownership and work to resolve it rather than deflect blame. Every interaction is an opportunity to reinforce trust—and that trust is our most valuable asset.
Transparency also means respecting customer privacy and data security. Energy data is sensitive, and our customers depend on us to protect it. Misuse, mishandling, or carelessness with customer data is not just a technical failure—it’s an ethical breach. We are committed to ensuring full compliance with GDPR and other applicable regulations, and we expect every employee to uphold these standards in their work.
Fair competition & market integrity
The energy sector is highly regulated, and market participants must follow strict rules to ensure fairness and transparency. As a company providing software solutions that support market participation, we have a responsibility to promote ethical business practices.
This means we never engage in anti-competitive behavior, price-fixing, or unfair business practices. We compete based on the quality of our solutions—not by manipulating markets or undermining competitors. If a customer asks us for a feature or workaround that could compromise market integrity, we say no. If we see practices that raise ethical concerns, we speak up.
Fusebox is also committed to ensuring that our technology is not misused. Algorithms and automation can create efficiencies, but they must be designed and implemented responsibly. Any feature that could be exploited to manipulate markets or provide unfair advantages should be carefully evaluated and, if necessary, reconsidered.
Anti-corruption & anti-bribery
Integrity is not just about how we work internally—it extends to how we engage with external stakeholders. Bribery, kickbacks, and any form of unethical influence are strictly prohibited.
In many industries, informal favors, gifts, or incentives are sometimes used to build business relationships. However, in the energy sector—where trust, compliance, and transparency are essential—even the perception of impropriety can be damaging. We never offer, request, or accept bribes, whether in the form of cash, gifts, travel, or any other benefit. If a situation feels unclear, employees are expected to seek guidance before proceeding.
Corruption leads to decisions based on unlawful reasons, distorts competition and harms companies. Corruption is a criminal offence and can lead to fines for the company and to criminal prosecution of the employees, managers and board members concerned.
To ensure full compliance with both legal and ethical standards, we have a dedicated Anti-Corruption & Anti-Bribery Policy that every employee must read and follow. This policy provides specific guidance on what is acceptable, what is not, and how to handle any concerns. It is available on our intranet.
Building strong, ethical partnerships
Beyond customers, Fusebox works with partners, investors, and regulators. The way we conduct ourselves in these relationships directly impacts how we are perceived as a company. As a growing business from a small EU country, we recognize that we have to work even harder to establish credibility and gain trust in global markets.
This means we approach every partnership with professionalism, honesty, and accountability. We don’t cut corners. We don’t make misleading claims to secure deals. We don’t compromise our values for short-term gains.
Instead, we focus on what sets us apart: our expertise, our innovation, and our commitment to a fair and sustainable energy future. By staying true to these principles, we ensure that our reputation remains strong—not just today, but for years to come.
Sum up
Our responsibility to customers and partners goes beyond delivering great software. We are building long-term relationships based on trust, transparency, and integrity. Every interaction—whether in a sales meeting, a technical discussion, or a regulatory conversation—is an opportunity to reinforce our credibility.
By staying committed to ethical business practices, we don’t just protect Fusebox’s reputation—we set ourselves apart as a company that people want to work with, invest in, and trust with their critical energy operations.
Handling ethical concerns & reporting misconduct
At Fusebox, we believe that speaking up when something is wrong is not just a right—it’s a responsibility. A strong company culture depends on employees feeling safe to raise ethical concerns without fear of retaliation. That’s why we are committed to ensuring that all reports are taken seriously, handled fairly, and result in appropriate action.
No tolerance for retaliation
Employees who report concerns in good faith are protected. Retaliation—whether in the form of demotions, threats, exclusion, or other negative consequences—will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Any individual found retaliating against someone for making a report will face disciplinary action.
Speaking up is an act of integrity, and we respect and protect those who do.
How to report an ethical concern
If you witness misconduct or have concerns about unethical behavior, you have several ways to report it:
📌 1. Email ethics@fusebox.energy – This inbox is monitored by the Head of Legal and [Designated Role], ensuring reports are reviewed confidentially.
📌 2. Speak to any C-level executive, the Head of People, or the Head of Legal – If you prefer direct communication, you can approach a senior leader you trust.
📌 3. Report to a peer or manager using “CoC Report” – If you choose to raise the issue with a colleague or manager, we ask that you use the phrase “CoC Report” at the start of your message. This helps the recipient recognize it as an ethical concern that needs to be escalated appropriately.
What happens after a report is made?
1️⃣ Initial Review – The report will be reviewed by either the Head of Legal, Head of People, or a designated C-level executive. If necessary, additional expertise may be consulted to assess the situation.
2️⃣ Fact-Finding – Depending on the nature of the concern, the next step may involve gathering information, speaking to relevant parties, and reviewing any supporting evidence.
3️⃣ Decision & Action – Once the facts are established, an appropriate course of action will be determined. This could range from internal guidance to formal disciplinary measures, depending on the severity of the issue.
4️⃣ Communication of Outcome – The employee who raised the concern will be informed that the issue has been addressed, though specific details may remain confidential.
Confidentiality & anonymity
Every report will be handled with the highest level of discretion. While we encourage open discussions, we understand that some employees may wish to remain anonymous. If you prefer, you may:
· Send a report from a private email address with no identifying details.
· Request that your identity remain undisclosed during the investigation.
Regardless of the method used, all reports will be treated with fairness and impartiality.
Sum up
Ethics is not just about policies—it’s about having the courage to stand up for what’s right. If something feels wrong, we want you to speak up, knowing that your concerns will be heard and addressed. By working together with integrity, we ensure that Fusebox remains a company we are all proud to be part of.
Keeping this code alive
A Code of Conduct is only meaningful if it is actively followed. It’s not just a document to be read once and forgotten—it’s a guide to how we work, how we make decisions, and how we build a company that earns trust.
At Fusebox, we expect every employee to understand and comply with this Code. Living by these principles is not just about avoiding wrongdoing—it’s about creating a workplace where integrity, respect, and accountability define how we operate every day.
Ethical questions will arise, and when they do, we encourage open discussions. If anything in this Code is unclear, or if you ever find yourself in a situation where you’re unsure of the right course of action, ask. Speak to your manager, a C-level executive, or reach out to ethics@fusebox.energy.
As Fusebox grows, our challenges will evolve, and so will this Code. We will review and update it as needed to ensure it continues to reflect our values and the expectations of our employees, customers, and partners.
By embracing this Code—not just in words, but in actions—we ensure that Fusebox remains a company we can all take pride in, today and in the future.
